enrich your life and home with art

I was asked to lead a design project for Pillar Non-Profit. This project evolved into Innovation Works, a 32,000 sq. ft. shared office space for Social Enterprise. Michele joined our small but mighty design team several months later. Much to my delight, Michele easily became an integral part of the team. Without Michele’s experience and natural talent, Innovation Works would not be the incredible space that it is today. Michele’s commitment to the project was unwavering and her support unyielding. I am thrilled to consider Michele a good friend and colleague.

Thank you for visiting, Michele, and for your feedback on the end result. You played an important part helping us pull this renovation together! Thank you for your colour guidance and styling ideas.

Having a history of selecting the wrong paint colour on more than one occasion, I recently hired Michele Davies to help me choose the right colour for my new home. I find paint stores overwhelming because the choices are too many and those little paint chips are relatively useless. Michele took the time to learn which pieces of furniture and art are my favourites, she visited my new home to gain a sense of its northeast exposure to natural light and then provided a short list of ideal colours using large paint samples. Together, we nailed it! Once my place was painted, I invited her back to help with professional art installation, a service provided by Al Stewart of the Westland Gallery & Art Exchange. What a dream team collaboration! I love my new home.

Michele Davies is a colour and design mastermind! What a special eye she has! My new home is so gorgeous & I am beyond thrilled.

I was recently asked to help a client and friend hang his art collection in his new home. Interior designer Michele Davies joined us as well, whose amazing sense of space was invaluable in the design process. We spent the afternoon turning this apartment into a beautiful home. It was truly so much fun being part of this. Art has the ability to add life to a space. It brings colour, emotion and personality; it turns average into extraordinary. Art collectors can tell you the story behind each piece they own, which in turn tells us a story about the collector. No habit I know can be as fulfilling as growing your art collection. It provides us the opportunity to fill our spaces with items that give us joy, that make us think and evoke emotions like nothing else can.

"It is huge yet beautiful and warm on 10 acres of absolutely gorgeous wooded property right in London." It really warmed my heart to learn that the new owners of our precious Kilbourne property love it as much as we did. Thanks for design & colour expertise for every detail of building and decorating this magnificent country home. Now on to our next project!

Just wanted to let you know that Paul is in the middle of painting my house at the moment and so far…..I am thrilled!!! Both with the team and the colours. Every time I go into the powder room, I exclaim to myself " I LOVE this colour!!". When it is all done, would you come back and help me with window treatment and chairs in the dining room? Thank you once again for your amazing colour eye.

This is what I would say to anyone who is considering hiring you – just do it. You transformed three of my homes and three of my offices over seven years. I am always amazed with your results. Some people have a gift, what we call an 'eye' and you certainly have it. But that is not all; when you add in your gentle approach, professionalism, budget savvy advice and your network of outstanding tradespeople, you become invaluable. Your ability to make professional and personal spaces welcoming and beautiful, all within budget, astounds me. My home sold faster because of you and my offices became that rare combination of welcoming, productive, professional and calming (given that I consulted with anxious clients this latter attribute was critical). The recent renovation of my condo had a short time frame and moderate budget. Your leadership on this project saved my sanity at a stressful time. I could focus on my business without worrying about my home. The peace of mind you provided was priceless. Michele, I am delighted to provide this reference to prospective clients. Do let them know if they would like to speak by phone that I am in Australia until January 21st and that we are 16 hours ahead.

Derek was here yesterday. He installed the light in the office and it looks great!! We were both commenting on your fantastic ability to see what is just perfect for a room.

In the world of interior design, Michele Davies has a unique combination of skills, both learned and intrinsic, which give her the tools to make a home truly shine. Her attention to detail, eye for colour and in-depth understanding of the principles of Feng Shui help her customers create beautiful, gracious, living spaces that they are thrilled to call home. Combine that with her gentle manner and professionalism and you have an individual who is a pleasure to work with. She has an intuitive feel for a home's energy and works carefully and methodically to ascertain the ideal colour, as well as determining the best placement of furniture and art to allow that home to feel both welcoming and comfortable. Her knowledge and love of architecture, furniture design, art and colour, provide a depth of knowledge, which is complimented by the talented and caring trades that she deals with – a complete package - Michele is truly a gem.

Michele first became known to us when she visited our interior design company. Inside Inc., selling products she had designed and made herself. We were impressed with the artistry and quality of her carpets, with her industry, and with the professionalism of her presentation. Her sales ability and a background in interior decorating eventually led to our closer association. During her tenure with Inside Inc., Michele expanded her own interior design clientele while happily helping us with every facet of store management. Her intelligence, dedication and determination were welcome qualities in a hectic business environment and she always faced a new project in an organized, efficient, competent and tireless manner. We appreciated the energy and enthusiasm she brought to our establishment and were sorry when she decided to leave Inside to work on her own. Michele continues to be a valued colleague and I recommend her for any position to which she feels suited.

It is my pleasure to provide this letter of reference for Michele Davies, Interior Design and Decoration Consultant. I have known Michele since the spring of 2002. At that time, our organization was embarking on the exciting project of establishing an Ontario Early Years Centre in London West. Michele created a beautiful colour scheme for the centre and was tremendously helpful in working with us on the choice of flooring, cupboards, counter tops and furnishings. We were delighted with the outcome and received numerous compliments on the warm, welcoming environment that we had created for young children and their families. Since that time, Michele has worked with us on several projects, including our child care centres and our main office. We have been extremely pleased with the colour palettes that Michele has developed for our various settings. I especially appreciate her expertise in creating a harmonious flow from one room to another. Michele's sense of colour and design is exceptional and we thoroughly enjoy working with her. I highly recommend Michele as a bright, talented Interior Design and Decoration Consultant. Please feel free to contact me at (519) 471-7443, should you desire any further information.

I have worked with Michele on many projects in my home. Everything from choosing exterior light fixtures, to redecorating a living room to furnishing and decorating a bedroom. Michele was an essential part of the team that renovated my kitchen and sunroom. She helped with an endless list of decisions and that kept the overall look consistent with the rest of the home. One of Michele's strengths is that she has an excellent sense of colour and has picked just the right one time and time again in my home. Another key strength is that she has an excellent sense of proportion and scale and the pieces that she picks for a room end up fitting perfectly. Her interest in feng shui guides her approach to design and decorating and that leads to the creation of a balanced and harmonious environment. The rooms are never over decorated. One final point - Michele does not impose her taste on the client but helps the client express their own style. The end result is always so much better than one could ever achieve on their own.

In the Not-For Profit world, budgets are most often quite limited. Our offices were dated, unprofessional and badly in need of a makeover. Michele, with her professionalism and altruism offered us expert advice on what we could do on a limited budget to make our space professional, but not over the top. We have over 60 volunteers who frequent our offices, along with donors and other guests. We have been complimented continually on the choice of colour, furnishings and artistic choice. Thank you Michele for your gift of your time, talent and treasure.

Dealing with Michele is always a pleasure. Her expertise in colour, the insight for design and the ability to bring things together are obvious when working with her. With Michele's help we earned an award for our new home-Most Outstanding- in competition with 5 builders in 2009 with the St. Thomas /Elgin Home Builders Association. Michele's design background is evident the minute you ask for direction, she makes decorating your home enjoyable. We would highly recommend Michele for any project.

The consummate artistry and elegance Michele Davies exhibits has a lasting and transforming effect on every project she undertakes.

At the London Club, we have continued to keep the facilities vibrant to accommodate the varying needs of our members and guests. Of particular mention and recognition is Michele Davies of Michele Davies Interior Design & Decoration, who did an excellent job in the renovations to the Dining Room, Members Lounge, Front Meeting Room and JAT Lounge. Thank you Michele for your decorative skill and for managing this project. The results are exceptional.

Michele and Barry are a pleasure to work with and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of the project. I look forward to working with both of you in the future! Thank you again!

We have a wonderful group of staff here at Hutton House and we certainly agree on our common goal of promoting and supporting individuals with disabilities but when it comes to colour schemes, everyone has a different idea of what would look good and we can never make up our minds. When our Main Building was renovated, Michele came up with a colour scheme that worked for both the older areas of the building as well as the newly added areas. From the minute she walked in, she sensed who we are and created a warm and inviting, yet professional environment, for our participants. Thank you!

Thank you for your role in the renovation of the historic Westland Building. Your assistance with the perfect paint colour for the Gallery is much appreciated. Its look great.

I'm so very thrilled with the furnishings, artwork, paint colours and carpet. Even the new vase and gladiolas in my condo have changed the feel of my place. I can't thank you enough for your superb advice. I now indeed have a truly lovely home where I can enjoy this new chapter in my life. You are so very talented and a pleasure to work with!

Michele is a joy to work with! She is incredibly organized, has an impeccable eye for detail and colour, and remains ever cognizant of the client's budget and lifestyle. Bottom line - we recommend her faithfully and wouldn't even consider redecorating or renovating without her!

Michele Davies has worked her magic on both of my Moda di Giuliana locations over the years, on Richmond Row and now on Dundas across from the Armouries n London. Her intrinsic talent and professional knowledge of commercial, high end retail design and of the art of feng shui were highly beneficial and instrumental to both successfully renovated stores. Her input made all the difference.

Beautifully done! Your insight and understanding of incorporating a persons life in your decorating is truly a blessing! You helped me so much in achieving the look I wanted!!! Thank You

My home is starting to look fabulous due to all your wonderful suggestions.

We loved working with Michele Davies of Michele Davies interior design and decor and we would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an interior designer who brings creativity but designs something that fits you and your style. Michele listened to our ideas and opinions about what we wanted for our main floor and kitchen renovation. She then developed a plan that incorporated our “wish list” with her own creativity. Michele is extremely easy to work with. She has impeccable taste. Her sense of style and colour appear to be instinctive. Michele is able to visualize the end result of a project and effectively communicate that vision. Her attention to even the smallest details made the end result of our project absolutely perfect. Michele was aware of our budget and she adhered to it for which we are grateful. Thank you Michele for a wonderful experience.

Michele has been a customer of ours for well over 15 years. In fall 2021 we were offered the opportunity to move locations within 630 Dundas, from the middle of the building to a larger brighter space at the front of the building previously occupied by Fire Roasted Coffee. The move would involve taking on the coffee service. We knew going in we would have to gut  and start from scratch. Both Cindy and I had a vision for the new space but weren’t sure how to realize it, we needed help. Michele was an obvious choice having dined with us for such a long time. She knew our story, our food, our previous locations and the feel we were looking for. She could see our vision immediately and went to work. The colour palette is simple, bright and clean and incorporates the colour in our Willie’s sign. Bringing the original Willie’s Café sign back was a key part of the look and branding we wanted. The once dark space is now bright and spacious, the floors are spectacular, the upholstered bench seat charming, the overall feel is inviting and urban. In addition to the design work, Michelle helped us with the layout, flow and materials selection. She was also magical working within our budget by helping us to repurpose lighting fixtures, chairs, tables, shelving, espresso bar equipment,  etc.  She was also not afraid to let us know if some of the ideas we had would not work, glad we listened. We would not hesitate for a moment  to recommend Michele. The most common response we get when customers enter now is “Wow, this is beautiful!” Thanks Michele for helping us realize our vision for Willie’s Café.

We have a plan! Thanks to Michele Davies and her creativity, thoughtfulness, and intuition, we have colours picked out & a design for the new Healing Space (Barn) in Grand Bend. Lots of windows, with lots of light, will create a feeling of peace & serenity, while immersed in the forest, overlooking the lake.

"Thank you Michele for your amazing help in making this much needed change happen. Our new kitchen is lovely, bright and functional"
